In today’s market, retailers are looking for food suppliers that meet high safety and sustainability standards. GLOBALG.A.P. (Good Agricultural Practice) certification is highly regarded as a reliable standard for demonstrating on-farm food safety and sustainability.
GLOBALG.A.P. certification offers producers a ticket to the global market, because by complying with the scheme’s control points and compliance criteria (CPCC), producers can sell their products both locally and globally.
QIMA-WQS offers certification under the GLOBALG.A.P. scheme for farmers and food producers in the following areas:
GLOBALG.A.P. IFA – Fruit and Vegetables, Hop and Poultry:
The GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) Standard consists of General Rules and Control Points and Compliance Criteria (CPCC.)
The GLOBALG.A.P. IFA CPCC are modular-based consisting of:
GLOBALG.A.P Produce Handling Assurance Standard:
The new GLOBALG.A.P. Produce Handling Assurance (PHA) Standard covers pre-process production steps after the point of harvest for crops including cooling, packing, re-packing, handling, and storage of produce for human consumption. The PHA Standard may not be used to certify products significantly transformed from the original whole state or foods that are processed.
GLOBALG.A.P. Compound Feed Manufacturing:
The GLOBALG.A.P. Compound Feed Manufacturing (CFM) Standard defines the control points and compliance criteria for quality assurance in the production, supply and purchase of raw materials and feed ingredients for compound feed. It covers all the production steps from the purchase, handling and storage to the processing and distribution of compound feed.
The standard covers commercial compound feed and not home-mixed feed, given that home-mixed feed does not leave the farm it is produced on. Producers who prepare home mixes must follow criteria already outlined in the Livestock or Aquaculture standard and do not require additional certification against CFM
GRASP stands for GLOBALG.A.P. Risk Assessment on Social Practice and is a voluntary ready-to-use module developed to assess social practices on the farm, addressing specific aspects of workers’ health, safety and welfare.
